Final tests for the transition between Guy Fawkes and the gun powder barrels. There is currently a problem with the way in which the particles do not follow the dissolve of the of the curve as the head burns away like paper.

don't hate me, Leanne - but I've got to say it... this transition is ugly; it just seems, that with all the Maya-power at your fingertips, you've generated something that feels/looks like 'clip-art' or a default 'cross-wipe' transition in Final Cut Pro. I've resisted commenting before because you've always couched these trials in terms of 'pre-viz' and I didn't want to jump the gun, but, simply put, this transition lacks the sophistication and charm of your other silhouette work...
ReplyDeleteI understand where your coming from, it does feel somewhat cheap and tacky at the moment. After posting that last message, I have re thought on it. I need this piece to look more like paper burning away. I need to take another look at the technique of the idea try to rework it. Iv got my self a little bogged down in haveing somthing working in the transition side of things.
