To represent the different Church's I have begun to find representations for each, things which explain why the Protestant Church and the Catholic Church are very different for the same religion. The Catholic church was founded with the Romans and, in general, are very decorative where as the Protestant, later evolved from the Catholic, has been renowned for being plain.
The differences between the two need to be simple yet effective enough to be seen in the shadow play style otherwise the differences could get easily lost. I took the traits of these Church's to their symbol of the cross. The Protestant cross should remain plain while the Catholic cross should be more flamboyant.
